12 Days of Christmas

I know, I know, it's way past Christmas, but let me explain. First, I wanted to wait until my customer Kathy showed off her quilt. Then, I purchased a new phone. When I went to post this topic, I found that some of my pics stayed in my old phone. I tried to get them out but alas, I am electronically challenged. So, I finally got back to the phone store and my pics are safe and sound and accessible. After all that, here it is.

I used Superior So-Fine thread, Quilters Dream Batting-Blend with a half thickness of Wool.  Thanks so much for looking.

Almost Finished!

First I'd like to begin by wishing each and everyone a very Happy New Year! I hope it is the best one ever.

I guess I just have to tell someone how excited I am. I started a quilt in June of 2012. It is a Flashing Minnows pattern and one that was on my bucket list. Originally, I wanted to make it in red and white. Then, someone I know was getting married in August of 2012, and I thought I would make it for them. Not knowing there bedroom colors, I decided to make it in blue and white as blue and white always seems to me to be wedding colors. The quilt is 100"x100" and heirloom quilted. I can't believe I thought I could get it done in 2 months! Here is a pic of where it all started.

 

I have 9 more star blocks left to quilt plus 1 diamond block that somehow got by me. The quilting has taken me what seems like forever! Check back soon for the unveiling. I will be so excited to have this quilt finished.
